ABOUT US

Messengers of Peace (MoP) is a humanitarian organization which aims at fighting  poverty and improving the lives of vulnerable people in Argentina.

Messengers of Peace Argentina (MoP) was founded in 2002 by Father Angel Garcia Rodriguez. Our organization was initially created to provide direct support to underprivileged people affected by the Argentinean crisis who were not being helped by existing relief agencies.
Today its mandate and activities have evolved, while its focus on improving the daily lives of the most vulnerable people has been maintained.

The projects that we implement in Argentina, range from community centers, soup kitchens, dwelling homes and day care centers for children to residential and day care centers for elderly people.

MoP focuses regularly on poverty-fighting projects in Buenos Aires and Tucuman reaching thousands of people annually.

Mission

Our mission is to improve the living conditions of the most disadvantaged individuals and families in Argentina.

Vision

We seek a country of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security.

Our values
MoP lives by the following values:

Mutual respect, requiring us to recognise the innate worth of all people and the value of diversity

Equity and justice, requiring us to work to ensure equal opportunity to everyone, irrespective of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, colour, class, ethnicity, disability, location and religion

Honest and transparency, being accountable at all levels for the effectiveness of our actions and open in our judgements and communications with others

Solidarity with the poor, powerless and excluded will be the only bias in our commitment to the fight against poverty

Courage of conviction, requiring us to be creative and radical, bold and innovative – without fear of failure – in pursuit of making the greatest possible impact on the causes of poverty

Independence from any religious or party-political affiliation

Integrity,  being ethically unyielding and honest and inspiring trust by saying what we mean, matching our behaviors to our words and taking responsibility for our actions.
