Since
1996 The Independent Foundation initiated the Cycle 'Universal Spaniard'
to distinguish our countrymen that comply three requirements:
establishing democratic convictions, defending the civil society and
having an extensive international projection. They can serve as a role
model for everyone. In the tenth edition of the cycle Universal
Spaniard, the Independent Foundation decided to award the solidarity
work by giving the title ‘Universal Spaniard’ to the President of
Messengers of Peace, Father Angel. In the previous editions the
following persons have been distinguished with the ' Universal Spaniard’
Award' :

Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires declared by unanimity “Guest
of Honor of the City of Buenos Aires to the Father Angel Garcia
Rodriguez”. The act has been celebrated in the Golden Room of the
Legislature with the presence of the Ambassador of Spain D Carmel
Angulo and the Deputy D. Ricardo Busacca.
